At the recent BIO Conference in Chicago April 9 – April 12, Team Hawaii had a 20′ x 30′ pavilion shared by all the county economic development boards, industry sector, University of Hawaii sector and state agencies.
This is one of the worlds largest bio conferences, hosting approximately 20,000 attendees from all over the world and exhibitions from 25 nations and 44 states. There were 27 members representing all Hawaii counties at the exhibition/conference.
Maui Economic Development Board was represented by Tom Liu, High Tech Maui Program Director. One of the most frequent comments from the people who visited was, “Wow, I didn’t realize there is so much going on in Hawaii.”
